Education and learning

Access to educational services

Helping communities to grow and learn together.

How we measure it:

  • Number of schools
  • Distance to nearest non-independent and special educational needs (SEN)
  • Distance to nearest non-independent and SEN and rated good (1,2 Ofsted rating)
  • Distance to nearest adult education facility
  • Distance to nearest library

School quality

The degree of equal access to quality education.

How we measure it:

  • School quality (proportion of schools with an Ofsted rating of 1 or 2)

If there are fewer than five schools in the community itself, we cover the five nearest schools, including any that are in the community.
